Getting Ready for the Craft Fair

Whew.

(Decorative pieces for the front of the notecard boxes in progress)

Today I finished all the bits of projects that I had been making for the Ballinasloe Craft Fair on Sunday. To be honest I wasn’t entirely convinced I’d have anything actually finished, and just kept consoling myself that at least if that was the case, Susan, with whom I was sharing a table, would have a splendid selection of delectable goodies.

(Boxes decorated, just waiting for the notecards)

But I surpassed my expectations, and apart from boxing up the notecard sets (which are winging their way to me- thank you Data Print!)

(Felted soaps- I did a tutorial here last year, or my sister (the Ginger one) has a tutorial here for gorgeous knitted sock soaps- same idea, different process for you out there who can knit)

(Yarn-wrapped pens- they feel so lovely to use. I’ve used silk and wool yarns. I’m hoping to have a good stash of these, that is, if I can keep my childrens little mitts away from them. They swear that they are their favourite pens to use. I think these pens are simply closer to hand when inspiation strikes…)

I think I’m relatively organised ahead of the day,

(important, when I can just never guarantee I’ll have time, considering everything I do is done in five minute bursts, when the little man is nursing, sleeping

or being *entertained* by small people!)

(BTW- why not head over to our Facebook page and comment on our new “theNest” logo- all names will be put into a hat at the weekend to be in with a chance to win a box of notecards- see you there and good luck!)
