I had the opening of an exhibition on Wednesday night; here in Ballinasloe we are blessed with having, not only an inspirational artist in her own right, but also an excellent exhibition curator, Joyce Little. I have been part of the “East Galway Library Art Trail’ before, and this year was honoured to be asked to participate again and exhibit in Ballinasloe Library.
Thanks! in spades to Joyce for the mammoth task of organising this, to the library staff in Ballinasloe: Mary, Breege and Colette for their kindness, patience and help; to Fergal for being, as always, calm, beyond helpful and… well, himself, really, I don’t even have words to express it!! And to Gertie… what can I say? The dinners, child-minding while I’m cursing at the printer willing it to print the catalogue for the exhibition starting in half an hour, the friendship and all the help….
Thank you!!
Some paintings here below, and the rest of the catalogue is in the “Paintings” page (see on the banner under our name)
(I’m starting, at last, to figure out this computer-lark!!)
The first three are just so you – very Emily. I’d know you in them anywhere. Lovely colours, Nell. I hope the exhibition went well. I think your blues in the last paintings are quite luminescent, really lovely. (But where’s the little angel? Don’t tell me you left her out?)
She wasn’t “working”… had to leave her out, she looked more like a soldier with wings, not the look I was going for!! I’m still working on her though…
So beautiful! I’m in love w/the 5th one.
