One World One heart 2011 Giveaway

For my second year, I am joining Lisa from A Whimsical Bohemian on the One World One Heart Giveaway 2011. Last year, we had a “magical carpet ride” around the world of blogs, and I met and found some of the most incredible blogs and bloggers- what a community there is out there!ย

Anyone can join in the giveaway- to be in with a chance you have to leave a comment

ON THIS POST, and on the 17th of February I’ll be announcing the winner…

And a quick introduction: my name is Emily and I am a stay at home mother to three boys and a little girl, whom we home-educate (myself and my husband!); I am a painter and love crafting… making dolls, crochet, and anything else that tickles my fancy!! I love baking, and regularly post recipes that I have found to be fail-safe! We live in the country in the middle of Ireland, in a turn of the century farmhouse, with a few hens, a hairy dog and far too many cats!ย

So “helloooo!” to any new visitors dropping by- if you have a blog, I will be sure to pay you a visit, and I am doing my utmost to visit all the participating (700 +!!!!!!) blogs listed here. if you don’t know about the OWOH event, I do beg you to take some time to visit the participating blogs- it costs you nowt, apart from a few minutes of your time to write a lovely comment and hopefully, maybe, perhaps, win a wonderful prize from somewhere in the world!

So here is my OWOH 2011 giveaway prize:

A Sweetpea Doll!

This little one is approximately 10 inches high, from top of her head to the tip of her…. pod. She is lovingly handmade with organic skin knit and a deep pinky velour body. Her hat is firmly stitched on, and her (somewhat cheeky) face is embroidered (every time I make a doll, her/his own personality suddenly appears as I’m making it- this one, her face has a decidedly cheeky glint)

This little doll is weighted, which gives it a really comforting feel when cuddling (the weighting pellets are firmly and securely stitched into an inner calico bag for safelty, just in case the outer velour body should at any stage develop any little nicks or holes)

Make sure to head over to The Gingerbread Lady– she is crocheting a “Kitties in a Row” baby blanket in whatever colour combo the winner chooses- this is just the cutest pattern, have a look here

Good luck, and I look forward to meeting you!!

(and should you be unlucky enough to NOT WIN ๐Ÿ™ , I will be posting a full tutorial (on this blog) on how I made this little doll a.s.a.p!)
